JULIA CHILD TOMATO

Julia Child the grand dame of cooking, now will be a tomato in my garden. She will be respected, nurtured and coddled. In return she will produce large, deep pink, beefsteak tomatoes with a remarkable flavor. This will be the first time we have grown this variety of tomato. How could I refuse. In a couple of months we will be having Bacon, Lettuce and Julia Child Tomato sandwiches. I cannot wait.

  2. Are those the ones you got at the farmer's market in Morgan Hill, at the BBQ Judging party?

  4. Highlandsranchfoodie, Dr.Biggles and Greg, I got this tomato plant in Bezerkeley Ca. at Yabusaki's on Dwight Way. I have found it at this website http://www.tomatobabycompany.com/reds.htm
I have no idea how they are.

Zia, I looked up Leonard Cohen and I would say he is different.

  5. Where did you find her? I'm not doing tomatoes this year - I don't seem to have much luck. Instead, I have planted potatoes - I hope they sprout!

  6. Eeks! I am planning to get a couple more slicing tomatoes into the ground; this sounds like a fun one to try.
