Went to the Sonoma County Fair yesterday and found your chocolate covered bacon, plus Johnny Garlic's pork sliders. Not sure about the bacon but I can now say I've tried it.
I'm just now getting tomatoes too. It's been torturous reading posts from bloggers south and east with all thier tomatoes they've been getting for a month now. Is that an heirloom tomato? Tebow wowed in the exhibition game last night. Just a heads up.
Genius, can I call you genius, or do you prefer Chili???
Genius, tomatoes have hit a ridiculous $7 a pound right now here. Driving me crazy, but a week from today, the farmer's market in KC (one of the best), and 50 cents a pound... and sweet corn... and so much more
Yours looks fantastic, thanks for sharing. Makes leaving St Thomas easier to know what i am returning to.
Wow! That's one of the biggest tomaters I ever saw! Great job Chile! This year, Sweet Lo & I had better luck with our cherry tomatoes and some bizarre lemon cucumbers. Ah, fun in the garden, eh?

ReplyDeleteYour tomato is magnificent.
Did you make it over to the farmers market? The big question, did you see any Elvis's dropping from the sky?

Eek, that tomato frightened me!
ReplyDeleteWith its enormous red beauty.
Jealous.
I got Elvis in my backyard, playing with the puppy. Thangyaverramush.
That thing is huge unless those are tiny jalapenos. You could throw your back out picking that thing.
ReplyDeleteIf you're topping a burger with slices from that you better make your patties 9" in diameter.
Is the salsa ready yet?
ReplyDeletehighlandsranchfoodie, I have all heirlooms this year.
ReplyDeleteTebow? Isn't that a thing to record T.V.
A Year on the Grill, You can call me Chile,Genius or even Basil Rathbone just do not call me Sally. We will be in KC the first of October.
Cookiecrumb, Puppys are fun. You are lucky you do not have a digger.
Chris, They are huge. I am guessing just under a pound and very tasty.
Presidentofcookies, The salsa will be ready soon and that may or may not be a Mad Clown Genius.

ReplyDeleteNice tomato! I am jealous. The local deer crashed our fence and did us in. Hoping for a recovering.
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot about the farmer's market - I'll have to go next week instead. No flying Elvises, just one very earthbound impersonator.
