DOG
We are going to a DOG (Dutch Oven Gathering) at the 'Meathenge Labs'. The cobwebs are being dusted off the black iron. This is a massive and heavy pile of cookware. Once the fire is built, these vessels will perform their magic and transform raw ingredients into a tasty, meaty and a couple of vegetable treats. I will be making some 'Jalapeno Cheese Bread' and a spatchcock chicken laying on a bed of spuds and vegetables. This will be a gathering of Dutch Oven enthusiasts. We will be sharing our dishes and swapping some stories. Stay tuned!

All coastal residents in the warning area who are near the beach or in low-lying regions should move immediately inland to higher ground and away from all harbors and inlets including those sheltered directly from the sea. Those feeling the earth shake, seeing unusual wave action, or the water level rising or receding may have only a few minutes before the tsunami arrival and should move immediately. Homes and small buildings are not designed to withstand tsunami impacts. Do not stay in these structures.

rude roots, I will step up to the cast iron plate and cook dishes over the charcols to reclaim the glory days of the "Meatmen".
Well shoot....when I saw the title of this post, I thought maybe you had gotten a new little GR puppy. I want to get a cast iron Dutch oven one of these days.
Lea Ann, We are getting a puppy this summer. It will be an English Retriever. We cannot wait.
Looks like fun. I'm looking forward to seeing the results of the meatage.
How fun! We do dutch oven cooks when my parents are camping in Cades Cove nearby and spatchcocked chickens are one of my mom's favorites.
Zia & Chris, just got back. I am too full to even look at the pictures. So much good food and company. I need to take a visit to the couch.
