ASPARAGUS EATING WORLD RECORD


 Stockton California's Asparagus Festival was the venue were history was created this weekend. Joey 'Jaws' Chestnut set a new world record of eating deep fried asparagus. In 10 minutes time Joey devoured nine pounds and 10 ounces of breaded and deep fried asparagus. Congratulations Joey, You are my hero!

    Zoomie, Sadly we did not make it this year. We judged a BBQ contest in Sacramento. We missed going.

    I was thinking you were in two places at once. I saw Joey on the Cooking Channel. He said he eats very normal when not in competition.

    Greg, The Asparagus contest was at noon. The logistics just did not work.

    I would not want to follow him in the restroom for a few days. I LOVE asparagus but the after effects after moderate quantities are strong. I can't imagine this.
