BRENTWOOD CORN FESTIVAL

It is that time of year when every weekend has some festival or another. This last weekend brought us to the ‘Brentwood Corn Festival. This is one of our favorite events because who does not love corn. This festival has a cornucopia of activities for all ages. Music, crafts, carnival rides and my favorite category, fair eats.

The first thing we searched for after obtaining frosty beverages was the corn booth. Once we found our booth we noticed the fancy corn cooker. This was one high tech roaster. This vendor offered many different accompaniments for our toasty cob of sweetness. Butter, chili powder, salt & pepper and mayonnaise were there for the offering. Salt and butter is all I need. This is what summer is all about.

The barbeque booth looked inviting but we were on another mission. Ms. Goofy had heard about a new carnival ride were you are vacuumed into your own plastic bubble and then can walk on water. It may have been the heat or the beverages but I humored Ms. Goofy and we searched. By gosh, she was right! Unfortunately they would not let me ride this attraction. The Carney muttered something about growing up.

We strolled through out the fair grounds and enjoyed the afternoon. It was a lovely day in Brentwood. I cannot wait till next weekend.
