This new discovery will not make the evening news. We have already experienced 'Bacon Maple Bars' at Voodoo Donuts in Portland. What makes this special is our local bakery the 'Bear Claw' makes these treats several times a week. They sell out fast so you might want to call ahead and reserve one. How does it taste? It taste better than anything you could ever imagine. Life does not get any better while consuming this sweet/savory treat. Oh Yeah!!!!!!!!

Zoomie, How did I know that? This is one that an explanation would not do justice. The Bear Claw is a nice little pastry/coffee shop that is very nice and close to your house. Try it!!!!
Zoomie, bear claws around here have a moist cakey inside with a browned outer shell. They are typically glazed and coated with something, usually sliced almonds. I love them. It is more of a treat that goes with milk and not coffee, IMHO. Those look great Chilebrown. Diva Q made a nice maple cake with a maple, bacon, cream cheese frosting. Very yummy.
Three Dogs BBQ, The "Bear Claw" makes killer Bear Claws too. Bear Claw or Bacon Maple Bar is a tough decision.
OMG! Drooling now.
I've wanted one of those once I say Fieri at Voodoo. It looks fabulous.
