CHRISTMAS SHOULDERS
It has been several Holiday seasons since my career at the Salt Mines has ended. The Christmas party was always an extravagant food feeding frenzy. When I received an invitation to attend this years party, the 14.5 WSM was put into action. Two pork shoulders were cooked low and slow with hickory wood as its flavoring smoke. Pulled pork sandwiches were brought to an all to familiar venue. It was nice to visit and catch up with my fellow workers. We had our fill on many great home cooked dishes but the best part was I did not have to return to work. I was able to return to my new job on the couch.

That was generous of you - I'm sure they wish you were still working with them!
Zoomie, I am not so sure about that. It was nice to visit but it was even nicer to leave.
Looks like some good eats - no wonder they invite you :-)
With that food I bet you get invited to a lot of parties!
I can't wait to retire. Mega Millioms didn't pan out, so I am still going to work...
Big Dude, We have been having fun with our new 14.5 WSM. It cooks like a charm.
Greg, It sometimes is easier to cook a larger amount of food in the smoker. We like to share.
Three Dogs BBQ, I highly recommend retirement. Our biggest job is to decide what to make for dinner.
Well no wonder they invited you. And time sure does fly ... doesn't seem like years since you waved goodbye to that Salt Mine. Merry Christmas ChilieB, Mrs Goofy and those wonderful pups.
Lea Ann, As the year winds down like our football season, you can rejoice knowing that the Broncos will be in the playoffs and will most likely dominate. Congratulations and Merry Christmas.
