We cooked some ribs last night to begin the weekend of football and barbeque. Grills and smokers across the nation will be working overtime for the festivities this Sunday. These ribs were a warm-up to the game-day food frenzy.. They were smoked on the
14.5 WSM. The sauce was from our friends at
'Bart's Blazin Q' . Have fun!!
I'm firing up some ribs and chicken tomorrow. Can't wait. Just wish it was warmer.
ReplyDeleteThree Dogs BBQ, We are enjoying summer-like temperatures in the middle of a winter drought.
ReplyDeleteMy 12lb packer is waiting in the fridge for tomorrow, if I don't get up early enough to do burnt ends the same day I will do them separately on Monday. Cheating, I know.
ReplyDeleteThere is a new Oakland contest, Oaktown Throwdown, in August. Please submit your judges' apps now, the organizer is active.
Smoking Pig BBQ in San Jose is now serving burnt ends, started Friday. I've been wanting to try, but, San Jose. They say their Fremont location will open next month.

Damn forgot Oakland Restaurant Week's best deal, full order of the Town's best brisket, or ribs, slaw and yams for $20 at B-Side. Saves you $6, makes that cocktail look pretty cheap.

Now I want me some ribs
ReplyDeleteAaron, Thanks for the heads up on the Throwdown. Just submitted apps. We may have to drive down to Smoking Pig for burnt ends. It is even a farther drive for us. We are a little spoiled being so close to Smokehouse 10. Let me know how the burnt ends turn out.
ReplyDeleteBig Dude, Me too.
Go, Niners!

ReplyDeleteChilebrown, I have no idea, but I wouldn't be surprised. Jerry Rice is a bit of a dude and a hell of a player.
ReplyDeleteThree Dogs BBQ, do I remember that you are a Denver fan? You have my sympathy.
Zoomie. In today's game, I will be rooting for Denver. I can't stand the Pats. But, I am a 100% Steeler fan. Period.
ReplyDeleteJust as I suspected.
ReplyDeleteGo ribs!!!
ReplyDeleteYou want a package of Nueske corned beef hash to try? I have an extra.
ReplyDeleteGreg, The ribs won.
ReplyDeleteZoomie, Thank you for your generous offer but I am not a big corned beef hash fan. I will not mention the game yesterday.
