NO RIBS, TWICE?
Curiosity got the best of me,twice. My friends in the bbq community advised me not to go. My first trip to this national chain bbq restaurant was mediocre at best. first visit They did not have ribs available at the noon lunch hour which should of been a red flag then. Ms. Goofy was visiting her sister Shastina and I did not feel like cooking. I decided to brave this establishment but at a different location once more. I walked through the door and the clerk immediately proclaimed; "We do not have ribs". I turned around and hightailed it home. Fool me once with no ribs, shame on you; fool me twice with no ribs, shame on me.
I should of re-read my old review and took its warning of; We will not return.
ReplyDeleteIf you have to go to a chain, go to Lucille's.
ReplyDeleteGood for you.
ReplyDeleteDagny, Lucille's is not bad. It is a little pricey.
ReplyDeleteBig Dude, I still am shaking my head.
Mr. Brown, You should be thankful that your clean living has given you a bonus in addition to parking karma I would it call it good food karma. I was not so lucky about 10 year ago. I went to the palace of crimes against pork and had ribs. I have a update on the seller of fine meats in the wilderness without a name. I will be there Tuesday around noon so be by your phone or authorize Ms. Goofy to speak for you.( Beef ribs are a specialty) I also have another hot tip from the meat hot line, Pork mafia division. This place has a name and address but no one remembers what it is. The direction are north on highway 395 turn at highway 50 drive 50 to 60 miles east and its on the right behind a big tree, what could go wrong on the loneliest highway in the America???? From the wilderness GWH is OUT
ReplyDeletegreatwhite hunter, You have my authorization to pick us a rack of beef ribs. I will also take anything else you think I would like. Maybe when you get back we could have a meat rendezvous at Val's. I have been wanting to try their steak. I will have Ms. Goofy sit by the phone and patiently wait your call just in case. You know I am busy, busy, busy and busy not.
ReplyDeleteWhat the?! Beef ribs are for white guys from Texas. If you're going to appropriate stuff, do it right. No pork on the grill? That's a cookout not a BBQ. Forget what those Texans say.
ReplyDeleteDagny, What you talkin about Willis?
ReplyDeleteI got some pork spare ribs on now as I type. I love beef ribs. It is just hard to find good ones. Oh and by the by today we are using sauce from Flint's. Good Eats.
Ha ha ha ha ha, sigh. We just got one in town but when Alexis mentioned trying it, I knew better from your experience. I literally quoted you as our reason not to try them.
