NEW YORK KARMA
The Great White Hunter a long time friend and associate from a former life working at the salt mines made this statement; 'You really do have good Parking Karma'. This was said when we parked right in front at Dittmer's Gourmet Meats & Wursthaus. The Great White Hunter and I were on a Meat Adventure. You may ask; where is the Racing Honda?. This trip, Ms. Goofy was on a sabbatical taking her beloved Racing Honda. We were in the Toyota truck which is a dependable vehicle that does not travel at break neck racing speeds. We were on a mission to stock up on Sheyboygan sausage and Dittmer's was the place to be.
This was the first time The Great White Hunter had stepped through the hallowed doors of this meat palace. It is possible that The Great White Hunter may have shed a tear when he saw the magnitude of meat offered in this store. This is an emporium of all German meat products. The schinkenpeck, liverwurst, bockwurst and so much more gives many choices. They also have a great selection of premium beef steaks and pork chops. There was one 24 ounce New York strip steak that was calling my name. Our shopping cart was full and it was time to leave. I believe but have no positive proof that The Great White Hunter was actually smiling when he loaded his bounty into the portable ice cave in the back of the Toyota.
The Great White Hunter and I parted ways after this great Meat Adventure. The New York steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The parking karma worked today and the New York steak was a perfect way to conclude this adventure.
Steak yum!
ReplyDeleteGreg, One of my favorites for sure.
ReplyDeleteNext visit, get some saumagen if they have some. You can thank me later.
ReplyDeleteThree Dogs BBQ, Now you have sparked my curiosity. Dittmers does not have saumagen and I have never heard of if. The World Wide Web says it is a sort of German Haggis. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI love it. But, they don't use the stomach anymore. I love it in the fall when they make it with chestnuts. Mm, mm, good!
ReplyDeleteMr. Brown all I know is I have consume some of best Liverwurst, Zwiebling, Braunschweiger, Smoked Liverwurst, Chicken Portobello Sausage, ever and I don't cry especially in a outstanding meat market. Dittmer'is Holy ground. I may or may not have smiled, but you did not get a picture of it so it still a rumor that I can. Parking karma, all I have to say Mr.Brown as always you don't have good Karma because it never happens when you are alone. Mr.Three Dogs thanks for the tip I am now on the hunt for Saumagen.
